The PostgreSQL server performance experiences significant overhead when running under WSL2, to no surprise given the amount of I/O involved. PostgreSQL on WSL2 is good enough for a developer box and testing purposes but obviously would be a significant impairment for any production server purposes.

Similarly, for Apache and Nginx HTTP(S) web server purposes, there is significant performance overhead to running on WSL2 but fast enough if you are just doing local server-side web development from your Windows 11 system.
