In some cases Ubuntu 25.10 with Linux 6.17 did end up slightly faster but overall it was close to the same performance as running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
Across all the CPU rendering workloads and other creator multi-threaded tasks, Ubuntu Linux was delivering the best performance on both the Ryzen 9 9950X and 9950X3D processors.
