Intel Xeon 6980P SNC3 vs. HEX Clustering Mode Performance

As expected in memory bandwidth intensive benchmarks like HPCG, there are clear benefits to the default SNC3 mode to avoid the cache/memory latency costs of HEX mode.

In some benchmarks like NAMD and miniBUDE, the HEX mode was providing faster performance, but there are also some other NAMD performance issues still being explored for Granite Rapids.

For the vast majority of workloads, using the default SNC3 mode is ideal for achieving the best performance.
