At least from these benchmarks you now have some reference idea for the SNC3 vs. HEX mode performance difference with the Xeon 6900P Granite Rapids processors sporting three compute dies.

👁 RELION benchmark with settings of Test: Basic, Device: CPU. SNC3 - Default was the fastest.

👁 SPECFEM3D benchmark with settings of Model: Mount St. Helens. SNC3 - Default was the fastest.

👁 SPECFEM3D benchmark with settings of Model: Water-layered Halfspace. SNC3 - Default was the fastest.

👁 LAMMPS Molecular Dynamics Simulator benchmark with settings of Model: 20k Atoms. SNC3 - Default was the fastest.

👁 DaCapo Benchmark benchmark with settings of Java Test: H2 Database Engine. SNC3 - Default was the fastest.

👁 DaCapo Benchmark benchmark with settings of Java Test: BioJava Biological Data Framework. SNC3 - Default was the fastest.

All of the Xeon 6980P review benchmarks posted last week were indeed run in the default SNC3 mode.
