How did you decide to become a stay at home parent?

For those who were lucky enough to choose whether to continue working or stay at home, what factors did you consider? We’re expecting our second child in the fall and I’ve always felt called to stay home with my kids. The reality of the situation is that I am extremely fortunate to work for an employer who offers unlimited vacation and sick leave and covers all health insurance costs for my entire family.
