The weather is set to stay largely cold and at times cloudy over the next few days, the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) told Finnish news agency STT on Tuesday.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures will stay low, particularly in the north, where cold temperature warnings are in effect.
Southern areas are experiencing slightly milder conditions, with temperatures ranging between -5 and -15 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, while central Finland is expected to warm somewhat by Wednesday.
Later in the week, the cold is forecast to continue as a high-pressure system over the northern part of the country strengthens.
