An idyllic winter scene along the Kitkajoki River in Kuusamo, captured by photographer Jukka Risikko, has been voted Finland's most beautiful postage stamp of 2025.
The image shows an old mill building beside the Myllykoski rapids, surrounded by a snowy and frost-covered landscape.
The poll garnered some 9,000 votes, with 33 percent going to Risikko's snap.
Risikko has form when it comes to this particular competition, as his photographs have previously won the vote for Most Beautiful Postage Stamp in 2021, 2022 and 2024.
The winning image for 2025 was captured during conditions of -25 degrees Celsius.
"Snow, ice, and the special light create opportunities that cannot be captured in milder weather. In extremely cold conditions, even mundane landscapes can look magical," Risikko said.
Myllykoski is located along the Karhunkierros trail in Kuusamo.
