Spring is in the air on Tuesday, with temperatures hitting 10 degrees Celsius in some parts of the country.
"It has generally been around 15 degrees Celsius in the Baltics, and the air front is coming to us from there. However, there is a cold sea in between, so our readings are not as warm," explained Yle meteorologist Elina Suorsa.
However, Suorsa added that conditions are expected to take a turn on Wednesday, with rain forecast for the rest of the week.
The milder temperatures and wetter weather are also likely to speed up the melting of the remaining snow.
Suorsa noted that these conditions are quite typical for this time of year.
"Spring is long, and there is still time for a lot to happen. It's only the first half of March," she said.
