Roughly 500,000 people face a tax-return deadline on Wednesday, according to the Finnish Tax Administration.

Pre-filled tax returns must be updated with any income or deductions that the Tax Administration has not automatically entered.

At the same time, individuals should check the accuracy of the pre-filled information, and report any missing information, such as deductions.

The tax office is also reminding taxpayers that, due to a law taking effect in April, tax mail will in the future be sent only electronically to users of its online services.
