Un modilion est un support ou un corbeau sous une corniche et l'appuie. Ils se situent classiquement sous une corniche corinthienne ou composée, mais peuvent supporter tout type de corniche d'avant-toit. Les modulations peuvent être sculptées ou claires. A modillion is a bracket or corbel underneath a cornice and supporting it. They occur classically under a Corinthian or a Composite cornice, but may support any type of eaves cornice. Modillions may be carved or plain.
