Surbahar
Surbahar, parfois connu sous le nom de bass sitar, est un instrument à cordes pincées utilisé dans la musique classique Hindustani du nord de l'Inde. Il est étroitement lié au sitar, mais a un ton plus bas. En fonction de la taille de l'instrument, il est habituellement lancé de deux à cinq étapes entières en dessous du sitar standard, mais la musique classique indienne n'ayant aucun concept de hauteur absolue, cela peut varier. L'instrument peut émettre des fréquences inférieures à 20 Hz. Surbahar,, , sometimes known as bass sitar, is a plucked string instrument used in the Hindustani classical music of North India. It is closely related to the sitar, but has a lower tone. Depending on the instrument's size, it is usually pitched two to five whole steps below the standard sitar, but Indian classical music having no concept of absolute pitch, this may vary. The instrument can emit frequencies lower than 20 Hz.
