The European Commission has received a letter from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) requesting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the detention of Ukrainian cash collectors in Hungary and the seizure of funds and valuables.

Olof Gill, Deputy Chief Spokesperson for the European Commission, confirmed this during a briefing in Brussels on Wednesday.

"I can confirm that we have received such a letter. We are currently reviewing the issues raised in the letter. That is all we have to say for today," Gill stated.
