Zelenskyy: Ukraine hits 274 Russian air defense systems in March

Russian losses in March totaled 33,988 personnel killed and wounded as a result of drone strikes, while another 1,363 occupiers were eliminated through artillery and other strikes. In addition, 274 Russian air defense systems were hit, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said following a report by Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

"It is important that results in destroying Russian air defense systems have also increased significantly, with 274 such systems hit in March alone. There are also tangible results in destroying Russian depots and military logistics. The Defense Ministry together with the Armed Forces will present society with a detailed report for March – data that can be made public," Zelenskyy said on Telegram on Friday.

In addition, Ukraine is ready to provide partners with clear and verified reports for every sector of the front and for every category of strikes.

"In effect, Ukraine’s Defense and Security Forces have deprived the occupier of the ability to dictate the nature of the situation on the front," the president said.

He said that he and Fedorov had agreed on a number of tasks for the coming weeks.

"In particular, we are preparing decisions to strengthen the Ukrainian infantry, the army contract system, and the response to unauthorized abandonment of units – the measures must be ones that truly work. We are also preparing decisions to scale up the export capabilities of our weapons manufacturers and joint production with partners," Zelenskyy said.
