Category talk:Work in progress

I propose that this category is separated into two different categories: Category:Work in progress for pages using {{Wip}}, and Category:Work in progress pages requiring help for pages using {{WipNeedHelp}}. This is because the two templates actually have two totally different meanings. I remember used to, when I would patrol this category, I would find it very annoying when I wanted to expand articles but I had to look at every single one to see which wip template they had, so that I would know whether help was requested, or help was strongly discouraged. I feel like it would be so much easier if it were separated into two categories for each template. I know exactly what to do to make this happen, but I would like to get at least 1 support before doing this.--👁 Image

Which WIP category do user pages tagged with {{wip}} go to? I haven't checked all of the subcategories, but none of them seem correct, and after checking Category:Minecraft Work in progress and Category:Minecraft Work in progress without a note, none of the pages are user pages. --MinecraftExp123^{(talk|contribs)} 09:56, 19 June 2025 (UTC)

No category is added to user pages, as user pages shouldn't clutter article maintenance categories. -- 👁 Image
