A weapon is an item equippable in the melee or ranged slot used to deal damage to mobs in Minecraft Dungeons II.
Melee weapons are weapons that can be used to damage nearby mobs.
Melee weapons expend no resource upon being used, though have a limited range that puts the user in harm's way, leaving them open to swarms or easy targets for ranged enemies.
Each melee weapon has a sequence of attacks it follows when swung in short succession. The final attack in each combo deals the weapon's maximum damage.
Ranged weapons are weapons that can be used to damage mobs from a distance away.
Ranged attacks expend one arrow per use and cause the user to become stationary while firing. Unlike melee attacks, they can be done at any distance so long as the target is within line-of-sight and visible, making it the safer option for attacking. Attacking mobs from a distance can aggro them even while outside their targeting range, however.
A hero's ammo counter displays above the artifact slots. Each ranged weapon has a different maximum ammo counter, and after not using the weapon for a short time, it begins recharging ammo on its own. Upon running out of ammo, the ranged weapon cannot be used until it recharges.
Bows are ranged weapons capable of being charged. They can be fired instantly to deal minimum damage, or the ranged attack button can be held down to charge up to a maximum damage shot before releasing.
Crossbows are ranged weapons that cannot be charged, and when the ranged attack button is held, they instead fire continuously as quickly as
