Minecraft Dungeons II, referred to internally as Spicewood,^[4] is an upcoming action RPG dungeon crawler developed by Mojang Studios and Double Eleven, and published by Xbox Game Studios. It is the direct sequel to Minecraft Dungeons. Officially announced during Minecraft Live – March 2026, the game is scheduled for release on September 29 at 08:00 UTC.^[1][5]

The game is set to launch on Windows, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Minecraft Dungeons II: The Rift is an upcoming novel based on Minecraft Dungeons II. It is authored by Caleb Zane Huett and is slated to be published by Random House Worlds on September 1, 2026.^[7]

• The Twisted Warden's arm can be seen in the YouTube Shorts version of the announce trailer.^[8]

• In the announce trailer, at 0:13, a QR code can be seen. Scanning it leads to a Minecraft.net page titled "0x7370696365776f6f64" which contains the trailer "TJG KIF RDE LSRD".^[9] The string "7370696365776f6f64" translates to "spicewood" when decoded from hexadecimal, and the title "TJG KIF RDE LSRD" translates to "UNL OCK [sic] THE PATH" using a keyword cipher with "spicewood" as the keyword.
• Minecraft’s social media page released another teaser of a warden singing. In it, the portal has Illageralt written in it, which translates to "JUNE 7".
• In the Minecraft Dungeons II page in the Minecraft Launcher, if someone plays the 8 note blocks in the order from the social media teasers (1, 3, 7, 6, 5, 2, 4, 8), the Portal activates and a countdown for June 7, 2026, at 16:59:59 UTC appears, and clicking, or using the number keys, a note block five times in quick succession (within 745 ms to be exact) causes Illageralt symbols that when decoded (from left to right) correspond to 1, 7, N, E, C, 3, F, and D. After the countdown finished, the portal links to the same video titled "TJG KIF RDE LSRD".
  • When arranged in the order the note blocks need to be played in, the letters spell out "1NF3C7ED", which translates to "INFECTED" in leetspeak.
  • In addition, when reversing the first three and last three notes of the activation sequence (7, 3, 1 and 8, 4, 2), note blocks 1 and 2 emit soul particles, respectively.
  • If an incorrect note is played after the first 6 (1, 3, 7, 6, 5, 2) or 7 (1, 3, 7, 6, 5, 2, 4) correct notes, the faint sound of the creature from "TJG KIF RDE LSRD" singing the second and first notes it sings in the video plays, corresponding to the next correct notes in the sequence (4 and 8, respectively).
  • Playing the notes in this order (6, 5, 2, 7, 8) causes the unlisted video titled "BGUQJ MTVU VKORZY" to play in the launcher.
  • Very rarely, a Warden roar can be heard in the launcher.

• The rabbit at the start of the trailer uses pre-Tiny Takeover textures, even though the baby villagers use Tiny Takeover textures (with slight modifications).
• In the video, the counters of luxury merchant and village merchant were switched. Instead of luxury merchant, there was village merchant, and instead of village merchant, there was enchantsmith.
