TO THE END — You’ve followed the story of the Arch-Illager and found the shards from the Orb of Dominance – now it’s time to reach the End. The final chapter of Minecraft Dungeons unfolds in Echoing Void, the newest DLC. Face new enemies, collect gear, and make your way through challenging new missions to end this fight – once and for all.
Echoing Void is the sixth and final paid DLC for Minecraft Dungeons, ignoring the Adventure Pass. It was released on July 28, 2021. It is the fourth and final DLC of the Season Pass, the first part set in the mainland, and the second part set in the other dimensions. It concludes the narrative of the Orb of Dominance. It includes three missions, The Stronghold, the End Wilds, and the Broken Citadel; and a boss, the Vengeful Heart of Ender, found in the Broken Citadel. It is the first and only DLC to not include at least one secret mission.
Echoing Void is based on the End dimension in the base game. The hero starts out in a stronghold beneath a small island. The island is made up of spruce trees growing on a small hill. On the island is a short path leading from the beach to a small cave entrance. Beneath the cave entrance is the stronghold's portal room, holding nothing but an End Portal, which the player activates with collected Eyes of Ender. The portal leads to the southern area of the Echoing Void map, the End Wilds, which is made up of floating islands with chorus trees. An End City can be seen near the southeast area. Two End gateways can be seen on the eastern side, presumably connecting the southern and the northern areas. In the northern area, Broken Citadel, multiple buildings can be seen on floating islands, which are connected via bridges. Void liquid can be seen pouring from some islands. Near the northwest corner, there is a large circular area—the city’s capital— surrounded by rocks, where the final battle against the Vengeful Heart of Ender takes place.
After the orb shattered, it started to spread corruption in far off lands. One shard fell into a cave, where 2 endermen took it to The End. Causing corruption across the land, the shard awaited direct vengeance against the heroes. Creatures with 9 eyes appeared. With corruption locking access to The End, the heroes find Eyes of Ender. They travel by flying towards the shard and eventually breach the Citadel’s guards, giving them access to shattering and ending this vengeance.
