This conversation has been inactive for over 10 months, and there seems to be consensus against adding Ore UI-style buttons to the rest of the wiki, as these buttons have been designed specifically for use on the main page. Closing.

Oppose — those were made specifically for the main page which borrows much from Ore UI. The proposal should probably be limited to the dedicated Ore UI theme gadget. — BabylonAS 14:12, 20 March 2025 (UTC)

Neutral, these buttons feel like overloading page content, but they are also pretty much awesome and fascinating to use. I have mixed feelings, though I really do not want to use the "let's not make Vector someting different than Vector" argument since it's more of a personal preference. Objectively the buttons don't have issues themselves, my main issue with them is the inconsistency and complexity of the mediawiki software regarding their native buttons. If these are solvable, I could support it, but we would need to change more than just buttons, stuff like inputboxes, tables and general page design would have to accomodate to the button design, which is what makes me not make a full decision as of now. --Supeika (talk) 15:21, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
- As we already have all the buttons mapped as buttons in HTML. So, we can make a stylesheet (CSS) to target all of them. As for the different colours, like in the MCW:Community portal where one button is blue, that can be changed with
