Hi, I am Maxility, and I think it would be only fair to have a fanon wiki. Fans have ideas that could be put to use on one wiki with everyone, and they would be able to share designs, like how other fandoms have fanons. It doesn’t have to be on this website specifically(then it is mixed with the canon stuff) but it would be highly recommended. That would be somewhere where new servers and mods would have reasoning to be advertised, because that’s their idea
I only think this is really required when you have over 1,000 users, which i think you do

Leaning toward oppose - I just don't see what people would put there, or what it would be used for. Ideas for the wiki either get put on here or the community portal anyway, and ideas for the game should go on Minecraft's feedback page. -- ThatOneWolf Time for a chat?See my edits? 16:39, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
- AFAIK such a wiki already exists on Fandom, likely not in a singular number. — BabylonAS 16:40, 17 July 2024 (UTC)

Oppose There's nothing wrong with making or sharing fanon content, I'm a fan artist myself, but a wiki like this isn't a place to share it. Once you open the door to fan pages, where's the line drawn? Do you allow anyone to make a page of their pet project, or only "important" fan content like Fallen Kingdom? Would we need to make pages on YouTubers? The wiki is already experiencing a pretty massive change in scope with the introduction of Marketplace pages, and it took us quite a while to settle on rules for those. If you personally want to write about fan content here, I would recommend just doing it on a user page, not a new namespace. This wiki is for Minecraft the franchise, not Minecraft the idea. - Back on Fandom, we had a horrible experience with Fanon wiki, where wiki's update pages were showing 2nd in search results, while the Fanon update page was the first, leading to confusion and heated discussions on Reddit.
- And the Minecraft Fanon Wiki isn't the only fanon wiki. You have Minecraft Creepypasta Wiki (which kinda falls to the same category for many of its pages). You have separate fanon wikis for other Minecraft games.
- However, you could create your own (on Miraheze for example), though it probably won't be MCW-supported project. TreeIsLife (talk) 17:33, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
- If you are looking for a space to share your ideas, you are welcome to put unofficial content on your user page and you can even have subpages by adding a "/my page name" to the end, for organizational purposes. Its always great to see new editors around! Don't hesitate to reach out here, on Discord, or on my talk page if you have any questions. Mudscape 👁 Image

- I wouldn't want to make a whole new fanon wiki, I'd quite like if the already existing fanon wiki forked from fandom though. - Harristic / Talk 👁 Image

- No. Fanon is a scurge on search engine results. Keep that far away from here on Fandom.
