Kristoffer Zetterstrand is a Swedish artist. Kristoffer primarily paints classical paintings, but they are often influenced by pixelated computer graphics and 3D worlds. Most of the paintings in Minecraft were created by him.
The texture file of paintings was named paintings_kristoffer_zetterstrand.png in Java Edition prior to 1.14, and is still called kz.png for his initials in Bedrock Edition.
I think of my 3D scenes as theater stages, where I can quickly rearrange stuff, sample in actors from various image sources, set the lighting, and build a world of my own. It’s like 3D still lives, without the constraints of the physical world.
