- Generally when you’re making a list of several things you put them in alphabetical order so people can easily follow and skim through. Film credits are a fairly obscure and arbitrary way to order them nobody would reasonably be able to memorize, and for that matter obviously not made with wikis in mind. They’re not the objective way to list these characters’ names. Realshow19 (talk) 15:54, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- Lists can be in all sorts of orders. Film credits are not even close to being obscure or arbitrary. There are communities that are very passionate about film. See MOS:FILMCAST to see how arbitrary they are not. Also there's literally lawyers who make a career out of working on the order their clients will appear in credits. Absolutely nothing arbitrary about a list in this form. Quite the contrary. -BrianGLHF (talk) 17:05, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- By arbitrary I just mean not important, I’m aware that there’s a standard for ordering them. Try and remember that this is a page for minor, generally obscure characters. People aren’t going to come on here already knowing that they’re in the order of the credits, especially not if they’re trying to add a new character. Realshow19 (talk) 17:14, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- I know you know what arbitrary means. But the fact of the matter is arbitrary does not apply to this at all. People coming here already knowing the credits or not is irrelevant. -BrianGLHF (talk) 17:22, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- I'm just saying, we should try and make the page practical to read and follow, not search for any possible thing to model it off of. This is a pretty random exception to make. Realshow19 (talk) 17:25, 7 April 2025 (UTC)

Just to be clear, how many of these are actual speaking characters? I've only seen the film once so I'm probably forgetting a lot of details, but from what I understand a few of these are just extras, meaning they don't have character. Realshow19 (talk) 17:24, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- Can you provide more context? Which ones exactly do you consider extras? -BrianGLHF (talk) 17:26, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- The auction attendees and Jens are definitely extras, though obviously they're notable since they're cameos. I'm mainly talking about the characters just named after their occupation, like HR Person or Arcade Judge. I don't really remember any of those having anything of note. For the gaming adjacent ones I think that information would make more sense on the event's page, those aren't really characters at all. Again though, feel free to correct me if I'm forgetting dialogue, the DVD cannot come sooner. Realshow19 (talk) 17:32, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- I don't know why we would want to pretend things in the film don't exist. I think including these are fine for now and at the same time could be seen a a testament at how through MCW is at capturing the history of the film. -BrianGLHF (talk) 18:34, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- I'm not saying we should ignore things in the film, but we can't devote sections to subjects with nothing to document. Just because something is in the credits doesn't mean they're notable. They can still be on the wiki, just in more productive places, like the film's page or the places they appear in. Realshow19 (talk) 18:40, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- You are in fact saying that we should ignore that they are labeled in the credits.Drour1234 (talk) 19:26, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- I'm saying that we should establish notability for characters, minor or otherwise. Realshow19 (talk) 19:28, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- All content on the page is official, the point of the wiki isn't to only document one given part of the franchise. We don't pick favorites. Realshow19 (talk) 02:15, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
- The sections could perhaps be made collapsible.Drour1234 (talk) 02:18, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
- This is pretty tone deaf. People are looking for information about the movie, so we should present information about the movie. Mudscape 👁 Image

- Obviously, I agree that it shouldn't get top billing or the amount of space it has now. I'm just saying we shouldn't inject biases into the site. Realshow19 (talk) 02:43, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
- I've removed the DLC characters from the page, DLC is limited to one page per DLC according to MCW:NOTABILITY Mudscape 👁 Image

- I now agree with you, but not for that reason. The DLC characters are insignificant. They not only don’t appear in the film, but they don’t even appear in the credits.Drour1234 (talk) 02:55, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
- I think we should probably amend that, I thought that was just supposed to mean not mentioning content on game pages. There's not really any harm in documenting the info on narrative pages. Otherwise this would technically mean not putting this stuff in navboxes and that's obviously not the intention. Realshow19 (talk) 03:08, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
- I mean you can see the harm was pointed out in the feedback. The DLC isn't even in the movie, its only related as a promotional piece, so calling things in the DLC Movie:Other characters isn't even factually correct. Mudscape 👁 Image

- I'd say the harm is more the lack of polish, most of those weren't technically minor characters and didn't describe anything so they added nothing to the page. The namespace is for the movie's franchise, not just the one film, and plenty of pages already touch on spin-off material on every namespace. Realshow19 (talk) 03:17, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
As of now there are only three characters left with empty sections. Bruce, and two random no names with jobs. I went to see the film a second time today, I'm not entirely sure who any of these are. I assume Bruce might be the piglin who talked down to Malgosha, but nowhere in the film is there any talk of Human Resources or a secretary. If they're not from deleted scenes they're not even characters, just credited extras. Realshow19 (talk) 01:45, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
in the description it says "then, malgosha apologized for killing them" but in the movie she just loudley and sarcasticly yelled "whoops", thats not apologizing. MudkipzMcWiki (talk) 01:47, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
- You are right. That sentence can perhaps be reworded. Feel free to do so at your convenience.Drour1234 (talk) 02:07, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
For those who want to know the little info there is about the small piglin artist. NetherStar138 (talk) 14:49, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
In the movie I know that it was a tribute and stuff but he was only shown for like 5 seconds and then was never shown again. Why isn’t he here? GAMEDUDE9299 (talk) 08:38, 5 August 2025 (UTC)
- Technoblade is in Movie:Character#Other instead 👁 Image
Ayaan 11:50, 5 August 2025 (UTC)
- Technoblade should also be noted here. The term “minor character” is not a concept invented by the movie or the wiki, so it shouldn’t be tied to the wiki’s notability standards for having a page. I'm adding him. 👁 Image

Should we assume that the elderly miner who blocked Steve’s way is deceased (due to his old age and the space of time between Steve entering the mines and the rest of the movie happening), or should we leave it the way it is? DKRap064 (talk) 16:10, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
- It’s easy to assume, but not confirmed or really hinted at. Speculation generally shouldn’t be put on wiki pages, people will think it’s canon, or at least implied. Realshow19 (talk) 16:20, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
