Wait is this real???

Title

"Another Minecraft Movie", while very likely and in line with the name of the previous movie, is not the official title. The "source" is an interview with VFX artists, who aren't involved in deciding the movie name. I suggest moving the page to a much more neutral and less official-sounding name such as "A Minecraft Movie sequel".--Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 13:37, 10 October 2025 (UTC)

Looking over the page as it currently exists, the name Another Minecraft Movie is used multiple times like it’s the confirmed name. Meanwhile the alternatives aren’t even cited, there’s only a note saying it’s been used. Realshow19 (talk) 14:35, 10 October 2025 (UTC)

While "Another Minecraft Movie" is not the actual name, it is the only name that actually has a citation and is, in fact, used by people who worked on the first film. The other two names, "A Minecraft Movie 2" and "Minecraft 2" do not have any citations and are not used by people associated with the first film. Being used by people who worked on the first movie is pretty irrelevant considering that VFX artists do not decide the movie name, and as far as we know they might not even work on the sequel. We'll only know the official name when it's publicly announced by Mojang/Warner Bros. "Another Minecraft Movie", "A Minecraft Movie 2", "Minecraft 2" etc are all official-sounding names that are purely conjectural, and we should avoid using them. "A Minecraft Movie sequel" gets the job done, it's descriptive and it's clearly a placeholder that is not pretending to be an official name.--Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 16:37, 10 October 2025 (UTC)

While I support "Another Minecraft Movie" over "A Minecraft Movie 2" and "Minecraft 2", I could be fine with "A Minecraft Movie (sequel)" or "A Minecraft Movie sequel" (with "sequel" as lowercased), but let’s wait until we hear from more people (maybe also an admin) in this discussion before moving the page.Drour1234 (talk) 17:08, 10 October 2025 (UTC)

Saying it’s valid because it’s the only one someone has put on the page is a logical fallacy. If I remove the VFX citation and add four sources saying AMCM2, would that magically make it more likely? The source given for Another is only notable because of confirmation bias, we have no reason to think that guy is even working on the sequel. Realshow19 (talk) 16:45, 10 October 2025 (UTC)

 Support the name "Untitled Minecraft film", even though I do not condone Realshow19 moving the page to that name without discussing that name first. The only downside I see to that name is that it is vague and does not make clear that it is a sequel to A Minecraft Movie. On the other hand, there is nothing upcoming to be confused with it.
