Would any of you consider helping with an article about suggesting ideas to mojang, or is that just a bad idea in general? I have what I tried to add, forgot I should ask first.

This is merely an area to put suggestions for Jeb or whoever might want to work on capture the flag in the future. All suggestions are welcome, put them in here yourself. With the addition of command blocks, and colored leather armor, it is easy to have a basic combat arena set up. Just have it so people respawn with a set inventory, maybe a few different classes, and with enchantments "Tag" the other person by brutally bashing in their skull with a sharp stick. However, a "flag" would require two different blocks that are: Easily broken by hand Have a unique interaction with redstone, or something that can produce a redstone pulse, and Can be replaced easily Essentially, what this calls for is colored TNT. TNT can be broken by hand instantly, has a unique reaction of exploding violently when exposed to redstone, which can be used to destroy a redstone torch powering other redstone. However, then you could take your own flag and throw it into your base's capture point. There is no easy way to check if the TNT block has been taken without risking it exploding or preventing it from being replaced. Therefore, this "colored TNT" block would need to have 2-4 unique variants. What might happen is TNT with a set requirement of pulse strength for detonation, without going over. More suggestions? This is clearly no longer going to happen. This entire page is based off the brainstorming of Notch a long time ago and is clearly not going to be a separate game-mode. As mentioned in the article, a majority of the features required for users to build this game mode themselves have been implemented and as such it is very likely now left up to the community to create these kinds of game modes. It was back since at least 7:14 UTC, according to @Behavior Pack’s comment on 21 January. Does anybody have any information regarding it prior to that time? It was not on at around 23:00 20 January, so it came on sometime in between those times. 216.103.96.253 14:34, 22 January 2026 (UTC)

Looks like that the server is now gone from the Featured servers list as of Sunday 24 May 2026, 12:46:50 pm (UTC). Running version 26.23 right now on Android. Not exactly sure when the server was closed for this time. explor4268 (talk) 12:46, 24 May 2026 (UTC)
