- Copper Golems, Withers, Snow Golems(except on accident) don't spawn nautally either but they're not unused. CrockCraftMC (talk) 22:12, 13 October 2025 (UTC)

- and also itβs invisible and itβs on bedrock and it doesnβt move or make sounds or is able to move other mobs π Image

- Since there is no evidence of a spawn egg existing, I removed that part from the page. -- π Image

- I found a YouTube video ("How to get Hidden Spawn Eggs with 1 command - Minecraft PE/BE 1.16") that shows a player using commands to give themselves an elder guardian ghost spawn egg in beta 1.16.100.54. The command used was
/give @p spawn_egg 1 120, which gave them item.spawn_egg.entity.elder_guardian_ghost.name. The egg texture is the black unknown spawn egg. The video claims no mods or add-ons were used. I don't know if this counts as satisfactory proof that a spawn egg was obtainable in some version, but it was the only evidence I was able to find. Also, I'm a Java player, so I have no way to test this myself. Rampage455 (talk) 01:09, 24 November 2025 (UTC)
It appears in survival minecraft. It's not unused, it just works differently. I fell like the reason people call it unused is because they say it's a mob, which it's really not. It's a specialized entity. CrockCraftMC (talk) 19:09, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- It is definitely a mob, its just invisible tho. You can test it, burn it, and you will see. Besides its in the mobs section in the game code. Rogerio980Pizzaa (talk) 19:16, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- According to the offcial mob page on the wiki, a mob must able to move voluntarily. CrockCraftMC (talk) 19:24, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- It does move, it floats. Rogerio980Pizzaa (talk) 19:43, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- It needs to float voluntarily. The page describes the only reason it floats is because there is no code to stop it from doing so. CrockCraftMC (talk) 19:48, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- Its just a mob with no AI, its the same as the giant and to mobs with the
NoAI tag. Its a bugged and weird mob, but a mob regardless. Rogerio980Pizzaa (talk) 19:50, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- Giants are an unused mob, which is why they have no AI. Even if it is a mob, that doesn't make it unused. CrockCraftMC (talk) 19:54, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- Well you could talk about this in the mob talk page, if you want to remove the elder guardian ghost from the unused mobs section. Rogerio980Pizzaa (talk) 20:00, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- Although an alternative could be something like this:
- Rogerio980Pizzaa (talk) 20:34, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
The article says that this entity is "used to render the particle of an elder guardian in the player's interface." What evidence do we have for this claim? This was added by User:Rogerio980Pizzaa in an edit with no summary. Tryashtar (talk) 08:27, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- Got it from the chinese wiki pretty sure, years ago. That wiki is very reliable so I just added on this page as well. Rogerio980Pizzaa (talk / contribs) 09:42, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
