I noticed that many anonymous users are telling that the block continues to emit a beam even after 200 ticks. Is this correct? The Blobs^{👁 Image}

Say, does anyone here with a more technical knowledge of Minecraft know how this block's texture works, staying the same no matter which angle it's viewed from, and if it's at all possible for the way the End Gateway manages its texture to be applied to other blocks?198.86.247.192 14:43, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

D'you think it'd be possible to shoehorn it into a resource pack? This one server I frequent has a resource pack that can apply many textures to the same item and use those textures for different things in different places, as well as featuring textures that go outside of their little box in an inventory screen. I think that when on player's sight, first the game draw an outline like how glow effect works, then apply the starfield pattern inside the outline. The article currently states "Gateways have a very small chance to teleport the player directly into the void at y=0. " Is this actually true? Is there a source for this information? Under what conditions can it occur? Retep998 12:01, 30 July 2020 (UTC)

The usage section doesn't actually explain how the end gateway is used; that is, how a player would enter a 1×1 space, particularly in Bedrock edition where crawling‌^{[Java Edition only]} isn't possible.

Although I've played Minecraft for years, there's always been enough for me to do in the Overworld that I've never actually been to the End in Survival, so I can't suggest anything. I'm hoping someone else can. Amatulic (talk) 05:24, 18 April 2022 (UTC)

I once did commands that killed sliverfish and placed a end gatewayblock I went to the end killed the dragon to spawn end gateway and used structure block and cropped it and copyed it and used /structure load Minecraft:ewb and had kill silverfish and then in a "chain command block" with /structure load Minecraft:ewb and it spawned it but how do you get it as a item? ~2026-DrownedRedstoneGrove7390 (talk) 17:08, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

You can't get it as an item in Java Edition - it's one of the few blocks without an item form. However, you can use this command to give yourself a command block that replaces itself with an end gateway when placed: /give @s command_block[block_entity_data={id:"command_block",auto:1b,Command:"setblock ~ ~ ~ end_gateway"}] Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 17:14, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
