Honey Block n-o-t (Is) usable as Storage Block

[edit source]
Latest comment: 2 November 20192 comments1 person in discussion

So other than being usable as "firepersons' poles" (when you fall-against it, it even helps you fall-safely along it, though "'stuck' with it" once-starting), I wondered about other potential (new, comparing to Slime Blocks) functionality. Apart from the gooiness, it seems that I can't just get "Honey"-back from putting Honey Blocks (back-)into the Crafting Grid ("Honey"-itself is not-found exactly on its own except maybe as Honeycomb /Honey Bottle, it can be seen as such).

Also tried just putting (4) Glass Bottles into it. Wasn't sure, of course how I might orient them.

So it's more-like the Honeycomb Block (in this way). With some similar-to Slime Block functionality (thus far, in Snapshot, for 1.15). Yilante 10 /12 /19 1:08 p.m. 76.209.248.192 20:11, 12 October 2019 (UTC)

Scratch this! If Honey Bottles stack to 16, but even they are inter-convertible (a word) with Honey Blocks, then one can store 4 X 64 "Honey," in one Stack (64) of Honey Blocks (256 "Honey" ! /Slot). 11 /2 /19 4:19 p.m. Yilante 76.209.248.192 23:22, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

Can somebody add to the history section that honey blocks and slime blocks no longer stick together?--Delibirda (talk) 16:16, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

Honey block inventory icon

[edit source]
Latest comment: 12 December 20192 comments2 people in discussion

Why is Java's inventory icon being used as the main one when it's incorrect? It looks like that due to a bug, so it's not the intended look. The Bedrock inventory icon should be the main one as it's correct. In the infobox, Bedrock's honey block model should be on top, the name should be "Honey Block" and Java's should be "Honey Block JE". In the crafting template, Bedrock's model should also be used. 98.21.106.252 19:50, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

In general, the wiki follows the JE as the formost edition as it's not only the first edition, but also the one with more correct namings due to the flattening. I fixed the icon name now though, so they're both Honey Block. When that bug gets fixed, the icon will be updated accordingly on the wiki. We do not judge over what is or is not intended, but instead describe the current game, not how it should be. FVbico (talk) 20:30, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Honey block pushing entities on sides in BE

Ight so I got a video testing if they do, they seem to push, but not pull, you gotta really be on the side and the way it looks makes me think it isn't intended. Here is the video.

The player "enters" the block space occupied by the honey block (its hitbox is smaller than a full block) and is getting pushed by the extending piston head.--Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 08:23, 31 July 2024 (UTC)

Are honey blocks full blocks and are you able to hang off the bottom of them like slime blocks?

I think: No, yes. -~- Nerdyguy2000   talk   edits 14:28, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
Ok, according to my brother, honey blocks are solid in Bedrock Edition. -~- Nerdyguy2000   talk   edits 22:01, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
You can't hang off the bottom of slime blocks or honey blocks. It's a full block visually, but its hitbox is slightly smaller. It's not a conductive block in Java (unlike honey blocks which are conductive), acting similarly to glass, glowstone etc, while it's conductive in Bedrock.--Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 08:26, 31 July 2024 (UTC)

Unresolved

Honey does suffocate players in bedrock edition.
