The information on this page is contradictory. At the top of the article it says that command blocks cannot run /setmaxplayers because they are permission level 2 and that command requires permission level 3. However, in section 1.2, /setmaxplayers is listed under permission level 2.

I think this page needs specifying what is and isn't for OP players. The page implies that normal players can change gamemodes, run commands, and other obvious "admin" capabilities based on the function-permission-level. SethTooQuick (talk) 22:32, 10 April 2026 (UTC)

Actually, players need to be an operator status (set by /op or ops.json) in order to get the abilities granted by level permission. I have added clarification to the Permission level § Description's lead, I hope that's not too confusing now. Outrowed (talk) 13:28, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
