I don't have the snapshot, but this doesn't make sense:
"A Poisonous Potato gives more hunger than a raw one." and "When consumed, they [raw potatoes] restore 1 hunger point." but on the Poisonous Potato page, it also is listed as restoring 1 hunger point.
Can someone check and resolve? Thanks 75.69.100.220 13:04, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
Speaking of Facts.. the very first posting here was of me saying that a Poisonous Potato seems to function exactly like a Spider Eye, food-wise; that it was simply the vegetarian /vegan version: or did I get that Wrong? Yilante 10 /13 (this time) /12 98.248.218.170 19:53, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
Is there any proof for what it says in the trivia? It doesn't seem right... --phillips1012
Has there been any proof of the issue with Zombies Rarely dropping Carrots and /or Potatoes, as I know I still haven't seen them drop any Potatoes. Yilante 10 /13 /2012 98.248.218.170 19:57, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
Ok, they drop both. I'm still wondering at, nutritionally, only the cooked Potato seems to be any better than Rotten Flesh, a Spider Eye, or Poisonous Potato, though. I keep looking for a "potato gun," or somesuch new use XD Yilante 2 /10 /13 7:51 am 108.228.150.192 15:51, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
Oops, missed that a Baked Potato's the same as Mushroom Stew, by nutrition (so like, now-reusable Buckets of Lava in the Nether could be gotten for Potato-cooking, or else the Mushrooms, could be Farmed, for Stew). Yilante 108.228.150.192 15:55, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
This counts as a plant, and should therefor be added to the plants section of the blocks table.Trigger hurt 15:56, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
The page reads "When farmed, they will take 4 stages to grow rather than the normal 8 for wheat." right now but it is wrong. There are only 4 textures for the growth but it still has 8 stages total. Some stages share a texture so it might look like there are only 4 stages but in reality there are 8. You can check this from the block's metadata. Carrots have the same deal. So they are the same as wheat but there are less textures. 94.237.64.32 00:22, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
I'm trying to grow potatoes in a superflat world, but once I put it on farmland, it just waits and few seconds and just pops off, leaving one potato. I didn't trample it or anything, so why is this happening? The same thing is happening to me with carrots!114.42.241.130 05:21, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
It says under the image "All the seeds that exist in the game, as of 12w34a." but it contains beetroot from 1.9(15w31a+)

It describes the process for generating the drop rates based on level of Fortune. But the listed Fortune III value doesn't match what I calculated using the process the article describes. I got 3.71, 4.28, and 4.85 for Fortune I, II, and III, respectively. The article states that the average for Fortune III is 5.3... so have I got this wrong, or is the article in need of an update?
