Potion Type?

[edit source]
Latest comment: 16 June 20242 comments2 people in discussion

Is it really a negative potion type if it allows players to walk through cobwebs quicker? The negative result, spawning cobwebs, occurs on death, so the player is not effected. Unless there is some other way that the effects are categorised into types that I wasn't aware of? Tigered27 (talk) 19:02, 16 June 2024 (UTC)

It is referred in the game code as "negative". This has nothing to do with what the actual effect does Melwin22 (talk) 19:04, 16 June 2024 (UTC)

On Not Mentioning Trial Chambers in the Lede for These Effects

Though Weaving and related potions were added in 1.21 and can spawn in trial chambers, they're not exclusive to trial chambers, and trial chambers are not a useful source of these effects. You can't get Weaving/etc. potion items from trial chambers, they're spawned as thrown lingering potions. I don't know why trial chambers need to be mentioned in the lede/summary for these effects when it isn't mentioned for Speed, or Strength, or Slow Falling, or arrows, or fire charges.

Leaving it out would be more consistent with other articles and not potentially mislead readers into thinking you can get Weaving/etc. potions from trial chambers when you cannot. Also, I think leaving it out would let it be more of a surprise, because it'd be slightly harder information to obtain (as it wouldn't be the second sentence you read on the article, you'd have to read the main body.). @QwertyLilley, what do you think of this? Batbrain55 (talk) 09:42, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
If you put those that way, then yeah, leaving it out is good. 👁 Image
