Hey there, Wolf here. I wanted to ask you about the page we are working on, Tutorials/Advancement guide/Adventure tab. Your last edit summary says there are 4 more advancements to go, but all the advancements seem full. If there was one particular thing you wanted finished, I'd be glad to help you with that. Thanks! Well, I meant that there are 4 more to rework. I'm basically reworking all of them, cause they are outdated, unclear, or just bad in general. For example, following the old guide for Arbalistic would be very difficult to understand and actually pull off. Similarly with Uneasy Alliance from Nether tab. As for the help... the best help would be to show this to a somewhat inexperienced player and ask them if they can understand everything. Also just testing in general if all the methods are working in game, and if there is something to add or clarify. Melwin22 () 17:24, 18 October 2023 (UTC)

While you're going through snapshot pages:

I've been meaning to go through all the pages and make the leads follow MCW:SG/V#Lead examples (in particular - change "X was the Nth snapshot for Y." to "X is the Nth snapshot for [Java Edition Y], released on Z . " [with the reference for the date moved from the infobox to the end of lead]). Would be very helpful for you to change these too as you go! Thanks -  Nixinova T  C   11:54, 1 July 2024 (UTC)

right.
Although, why does the lead examples say
"1.10, the first release of the Frostburn Update, is a major update to Minecraft (Java Edition)"
but
"1.14.1 is a minor update to Java Edition"
These are not really standardized, are they? I already changed all (I think) major/minor versions to
"1.14.1 is a minor update to Java Edition"
"1.10, the first release of the Frostburn Update, is a major update to Java Edition"
Standardization is my second name. Melwin22 () 12:00, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
Thanks a bunch for the edits! That specific example was because it wasn't called Java Edition at that time. The example deserves to be changed as (iirc) it was written when 'Java Edition' wasn't popular as the retronym for all of the computer versions.  Nixinova T  C   12:09, 1 July 2024 (UTC)

One oak sapling doesn’t give any Oak Wood. I mined the parts of the tree and I didn’t get any Oak Wood. And yes, I was in survival. Once the tree is fully grown, the sapling disappears forever. Pikachu211 (talk) 23:00, 2 August 2024 (UTC) Pikachu211 (talk) 23:00, 2 August 2024 (UTC)

I do not understand what do you mean and why are you even leaving such message on my talk page. Melwin22 () 10:32, 3 August 2024 (UTC)

No ba. Podziękował. A o sforkowanej polskiej wiki słyszałeś?

About water + creepers

It was very interesting to see your edit on the creeper page. I always assumed water nullified damage completely… Recently I used a water bucket on a creeper as it was walking towards me and though I was blasted into a treetop I didn’t take any damage. Neither did the surrounding blocks. Both of us were leg-deep in water. But in two other instances, the creeper was not in the water and I was. I still took damage, and the blocks around were destroyed. 👁 Image

I'm not sure what could've caused your "adventure" with being blasted into a treetop without taking damage, as I don't have the full context. Possibly Damage#Immunity or some sort of glitch, idk. This could also behave a bit differently on Bedrock, but in any case, it's not a good method of avoiding damage from creepers. Melwin22 () 18:49, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
Hmm… the next time I find a creeper, maybe I should try to get a recording so I can turn it into a gif. 👁 Image

It turns out it works. I am not able to upload the file at the moment, but I ran three tests.
In the first, the creeper was in the water and I wasn’t. I took no damage.
In the second, the creeper and I were both in the water. I took no damage.
finally I was in water but the creeper wasn’t. I took two hearts of damage (I had iron armor). 👁 Image
