This template simply isn't useful, so I think we should stop using it. These "see also" templates are helpful because they are quick links to similar pages, but because of the sheer amount of navboxes, this "see also" template has had to become a large navbox, which removes the quick-link-finding aspect of "see also" templates. Also, this navbox doesn't include thematic navs because then it would become far too large, so it can't be used to find any navbox anyway. The navbox categories replace this template's usefulness, especially since the main nav category's recent rework to function just like a navbox. Since templates are an editor thing, we can rely on editors to use categories instead of this. Also, this navbox's existence means whenever a new navbox is created, the editor needs to remember to update this template. - I do not mind continuing to maintain this template. It is also a useful tool for language wikis to keep track of their translation progress (You can't have redlinks in categories). It is invaluable to find missing templates and quickly fix interwiki links; the job to fix/update the links would be much harder without this template. There are ways to condense this template further (such as by stripping away "Dungeons", "Editions", and "Versions" from the navbox).
- Thematic templates were excluded because Mudscape specifically never wanted to include them here. They also already overlap with existing navboxes as well. Delvin4519 (talk) 15:50, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
