someone needs to re-write this. it looks like its writen by a 10 year old. 24.61.29.23 18:55, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
I agree. This is haphazard, in first person, and talks about slaying the dragon in *creative* mode. I suppose I'll work on a new draft. Gh0stPirate (talk) 04:01, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
I've actually been working on re-writing it. Probably should have thrown up an in-use template. Is there a way I can make what I've written so far visible to others, without actually applying the changes? Duncan Belfast (talk) 13:46, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
Finally finished it. Hopefully it's much better organized and informative. Duncan Belfast (talk) 15:38, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
I don't like the way this was written. I'm rewriting part of it and deleting unneeded topics. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by 98.252.233.53 (talk) at 28 May 2013 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~
Beds detonate violently on use in the End, so they're a viable weapon against the Enderdragon. They're cheap, easy to make, can take almost 25% of dragon's health (tested on hard), and with a full set of iron armor enchanted with blast resistance the player takes essentially no damage from the explosion itself. The timing can be a bit tricky, but using them as a sort of claymore can make the fight WAY easier. If you're looking for a way to win in hardcore mode, this is it. 136.152.209.186 03:23, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
Beds are dangerous to use as a weapon against the ender dragon, because there is a high risk of blowing yourself up. So only use a sword and a bow against the dragon. TheFirePhoenix (talk) 00:04, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
The Original post specifically stated that using blast protection almost completely negates the damage to the player, plus the right use of walls can theoretically guarantee safety, and is widely used in no-glitch speedruns due to the effectiveness far outweighing the risk. --120.152.159.157 05:33, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
Read Tutorials/Killing the Ender Dragon TheSilentPearl (talk) 02:01, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
"In order to take full advantage of the Ender Dragon's experience drop, the player should bring..." Why? When entering the return portal, no XP is lost. Enchantment can be done after returning to base. Bringing equipment just risks it being lost. If there is a reason to enchant while still in the end, please make it clear. --207.216.89.132 21:12, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
Title would be more consistent with pages like Tutorials/Defeating an ocean monument. Should we move the page? The Blobs👁 Image

This section tells how to respawn the ender dragon, and gives a slight indication of why a player might want to, but it gives not instructions for fighting a respawned dragon. The Blobs👁 Image

I wish someone put a tutorial for farming the ender dragon there --120.152.159.157 05:34, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
With the addition of scaffolding, it would let players move up and down quickly, as well as build and repair the ladder. They could build the scaffolding undercover, or climb up and down to attack. Edisonjones2 (talk) 01:44, 12 October 2019 (UTC)
Should there be a “basic guide” and a speedrun guide next to this one because the item list holds too many advanced and hard to get things, early players will have too much trouble on understanding and getting the highly specific stuff. Just saying it would help a lot of people such as my sister who never listens to me and thinks I’m lying about a basic guide and she is new to minecraft so I’d like her to read something multi-checked by various people so she can finally beat the game.– Unsigned comment added by Rain Is awesomes Alt (talk • contribs) at 20:25, 12 January 2021 (UTC). I'd start by tagging some of the advice here as advanced, to warn beginners. --Dbratland (talk) 00:21, 13 January 2021 (UTC)
No. However someone did ruin the ite list so thats nice i guess, like, why fire aspect on sword, why not mending on anything, why silk touch pickaxe, and why flame bow, YOU CANT SET THE DRAGON ON FIRE OR KNOCK THEM BACK
I changed it some days ago, because I also thought it was way to much for a beginner. I removed those markers, as it was too distracting and honestly, pro players know what items they can skip. There are a lot of useful items for the fight through, I tried to order by importance.
Furthermore, there was a lot of duplicate text in that section, I removed that aswell. Don't be shy, I'm always open for constructive criticism :) (talk) 11:27, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
Hi! There’s a duplicate of this page in Tutorials/Killing The Ender Dragon. One of them have to be removed. What do u think? TheSilentPearl (talk) 02:00, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
If there are no replies on this by December, it will turn into a redirect page TheSilentPearl (talk) 02:04, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
This page is kinda bad and outdated. It suits no one as the new page is better TheSilentPearl (talk) 21:05, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
Well we’ll hold a vote then when my page is finished. TheSilentPearl (talk) 21:32, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
Well we’ll see then TheSilentPearl (talk) 21:46, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
If the speedrunning community gets hold of this the tides will change almost instantly lol TheSilentPearl (talk) 21:53, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
I agree to the removal174.168.40.96 22:10, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
Well eventually ill count the votes and make a decision jg TheSilentPearl (talk) 22:23, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
This page is overkill, is it not obvious already. And I hit a one cycle FIRST TRY when I first learnt it anyways, it isn't even that hard.TheSilentPearl (talk) 02:16, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
outnumbered here, but if i constantly tell ppl in the speedrunning community to agree with me maybe the tides will change TheSilentPearl (talk) 02:51, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
sorry if this looks too vague but what happened is some dude got a page i wrote deleted cuz it sucks and then says 1 page has to be deleted. luckily i have the things in the page but it was their idea to delete a page. its those dudes that left me no choice lmao TheSilentPearl (talk) 13:02, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
also i remember you and stop lying to yourself - you literally type one message every 3 months and can't complete a run properly lmao and you still consider yourself "part of the community" TheSilentPearl (talk) 13:26, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
well but still id overhaul this page cuz ig ppl dont want it removed. but then many of the sections will be moved to new pages of its own because iirc one of the mods told me a few months back that they're moving pages to boost the new wiki's seo.
That'd be a really good idea. If it wasn't as simple as that. I think this tutorial is overkill. Adding simply won't be enough. A complete overhaul is needed and clearly no one here is supportive of that. TheSilentPearl (talk) 03:40, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
i am, however, very supportive of an overhaul, but those guys don't, because it will make this passage a shadow of its former self cuz it only talks about 1 strategy whereas I talk about multiple. And many irrelevant topics will have its own page. TheSilentPearl (talk) 03:56, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
either way, an overhaul will happen, whether you like it or not. i forgot which admin said that more pages can boost the new wiki's seo, so if i separate some of the sections in different pages that will be nice. Then there's the respawning thing which will be completely removed like literally everyone says it should be. TheSilentPearl (talk) 13:42, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
lmao one cycle is easy, 4 bedding ain't. TheSilentPearl (talk) 14:11, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
ive also asked spyass to help out with easier strats like 2 cycling. TheSilentPearl (talk) 14:13, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
well the main part of this tutorial will stay i never said it wont. TheSilentPearl (talk) 14:27, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
