I see you adding entity cap information to history, much thanks. Do you have enough knowledge about the entity caps in LCE to make a page on them all? It would be very useful and is a current entry on the wiki community portal's "wanted pages" list. Nixinova T C 15:09, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- Yes. Yesterday I tested some of them on Xbox One Edition. I am pretty sure that it only counts entities that are in loaded chunks, so it is possible to bypass these entity caps. Here are the limits that I found out:
- 26 wolves
- 16 snow golems
- 16 iron golems
- 50 villagers
- 74 animals excluding wolves, bats, chickens, mooshrooms and squids
- 38 squids
- 26 chickens
- 30 mooshrooms
- 28 bats
- 70 enemies
- 16 armor stands
- 40 boats
- 5 boss mobs (wither or ender dragon)
- 400 item frames/paintings (also have a rendering limit of 100)
- 64 end crystals
- For minecarts I am not sure. A limit does exist but I haven't managed to find out the exact amount yet. The limit appears to be insanely high.
- If you attempt to build a wither, iron golem or snow golem when the limit has been reached, the blocks will break and drop as items. Snow blocks drop 4 snowballs instead of their block though. I only have access to Xbox One Edition, so I can't test any aquatic stuff on legacy console but I have seen that the limit for phantoms is 5. I am pretty sure that the chat messages for reaching the limit also shows up when attempting to spawn fish from a bucket. Also the message shows up when you try to breed mobs for which you have reached the limit. I think the limits differ between consoles but I cannot confirm that. BugsbugsbugsMinecraftWiki () 15:43, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thats great! What should the page title be? Whatever the exact wording of the message that appears in chat is would likely be the best page name. "Legacy Console Edition {entity limits|entity caps|something else?}" Nixinova T C 13:46, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think the wording of the message is a good inspiration for the name of the page. The message for enemies is "Can't use Spawn Egg at the moment. The maximum number of enemies in a world has been reached." (taken from https://youtu.be/L-Yh-7vL5ag?t=56). On the official changelogs (https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-editions/minecraft-xbox-360-edition/mcx360-discussion/2064202-mcxbla-title-update-change-logs, see Title Update 11) they call it "spawn limit", so I think the page should be called like that. Though it's worth noting that a limit like this also exists for banners, which are not entities but block entities. BugsbugsbugsMinecraftWiki () 14:56, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- I am not sure if "Spawn limit" would be a good idea for the name, since these limits do not just affect mob spawning. They exist for non-mob entities too and they even exist for at least one block, which is the banner (limit is 400 on Xbox One Edition). I haven't found any limits for other blocks than the banner. Though "Spawn limit" should definitely redirect to that page. BugsbugsbugsMinecraftWiki () 20:44, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- I have created the page now. I called it spawn limit, since that seems to be what most people call it. BugsbugsbugsMinecraftWiki () 19:09, 27 July 2024 (UTC)

Verifying changlog entry for custom superflat on LCE
[edit source]
Hello! Thank you for your work in adding in the missing history entries for Legacy Console Edition.
Are you able to verify when Legacy Console Edition added logs and end portal frames to the custom superflat block selection menu? I only have access to video footage where in TU27 they were still missing from custom superflat, but then after TU31, logs and end portal frames are present in the custom superflat block selection menu. So at some point between TU27 and TU31, they got added in at some point.
I would appreciate it if it is possible to verify the exact version on LCE this change was made. Thank you very much. Delvin4519 (talk) 16:50, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- I cannot test this, since I only have access to the latest version of Xbox One Edition. The only ways for me to find out when a change was made is through memory it or by looking at youtube videos (or by looking at changelogs). If I find videos that allow me to find out in which update they added it to the custom superflat block selection menu, I will let you know.
- I have many other questions about which update made a certain change. It seems that people can play any title update of Xbox 360 Edition using an emulator, though I do not have this. We should have some way, where we document questions like this, so we can maybe help each other finding it out.
- For example I would like to know which LCE update changed it so that iron doors and trapdoors are no longer interactive blocks like it was done in Java Edition 1.11. This change allows you to use items while looking at them without sneaking. https://youtu.be/As8XxPgv6Ig?t=537 in this video they are interactive blocks. I first thought that it is TU53 due to the date when it was uploaded but you will see that he has no offhand slot there, meaning it is before TU53. (They are definitely playing a version after TU48, since you can see the new fishing rod holding position from TU49.) https://youtu.be/9XU6u7O-pLM?t=379 is in TU55 but TU55 was only a bug fix update, so it is very likely that the change was made before TU55. BugsbugsbugsMinecraftWiki () 17:49, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- Right now I currently use my user page to list dozens of requested information from LCE that I am not able to find through video footage. In other cases, using
{{info needed}} or {{verify}} for the specific LCE entry in question may be helpful. Delvin4519 (talk) 18:00, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- I randomly found footage of the superflat block selection menu from TU30: https://youtu.be/5_nxq5e4cLM?t=163, though the resolution is pretty bad but I think there are no logs and end portal frames in the menu. This is the first version of Wii U Edition, which was apparently based on TU30. (Video was even uploaded before Patch 2 for Wii U Edition was released. Also if I am not mistaken, the sponge was removed from the menu in TU31.) BugsbugsbugsMinecraftWiki () 10:23, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- It looks like it matches the TU27 count of 130 items in custom superflat block selection menu, so it is likely TU31 when they were added it seems. If you find anything else let me know (feel free to edit the pages if you are confident that TU31 was indeed the addition of logs/end portal frames to custom superflat).
- I've also previously ran into full video footage of most of the the custom superflat menus including the biome menu on PS4 1.95, though it seems to be in British English for the End Dimension (the wiki uses EN-us). I've added in the biome descriptions to LCE descriptions page from the PS4 1.95 video footage. Delvin4519 (talk) 20:04, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- I have checked CU18/TU30 on Xbox One Edition using the method described in https://youtu.be/xjcurl2wK7c and there are no logs and end portal frames in the custom superflat block selection menu. https://youtu.be/asiNCv4rUJA?t=31 is CU19 footage (which I assume is the one you have seen) and these blocks are there, so TU31 was indeed the update that added these blocks to the custom superflat block selection menu. Technically this wasn't necessary anymore, since someone else already verified this in https://minecraft.wiki/w/Superflat?diff=prev&oldid=2699483. However one undocumented thing about custom superflat worlds is still floating gravity affected blocks. In CU18/TU30 you were still able to create superflat worlds with floating sand and gravel. https://youtu.be/a8dxpYTJwaQ?t=258 in CU25/TU36 this was not possible anymore. If you attempt to create a superflat world with floating sand, it will turn into sandstone and floating gravel turns into stone. https://youtu.be/rdMpkd8JfGs when concrete was added in CU43/TU53 it was possible to create superflat worlds with floating concrete powder, which was fixed as well. In the latest version any floating concrete powder will be turned into concrete of the corresponding color when attempting to make a world with floating concrete powder. - Also currently the superflat article does not list blocks that were added to the superflat selection menu that were added to the game itself in the same update. Should this be changed as well? Notably the podzol and coarse dirt blocks added in TU31 were also added to the superflat block selection menu in the same update, which is not documented. At least for TU53 and TU69 people showed block/structure/biome additions to the menu as secret features. Also I am pretty sure that TU27 added acacia and dark oak planks to this menu as well, since this update added them to the creative inventory. (They are present in the superflat block selection menu in CU18.) BugsbugsbugsMinecraftWiki () 16:44, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
- I have tested CU22/TU34 now and you can't create superflat worlds with floating sand or gravel anymore. This was very likely fixed in TU31 then. BugsbugsbugsMinecraftWiki () 09:18, 17 August 2025 (UTC)
- https://youtu.be/2XMjuSqdZZw according to this video, this was fixed in TU33. There are no error messages for this unlike in the latest version. Also didn't know about not being to create worlds with lava sources that have air below them or TNT above lava. BugsbugsbugsMinecraftWiki () 15:51, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
I saw your edit summary in waterlogging about how it was the hardest feature to implement in Legacy Console.
It would be OK to add this factoid to trivia, or you can have the history entry say it with a footnote "After much difficulty, added waterlogging.[1]"
Either way, you would need to cite the source. ~Anachronist (talk) 03:28, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, I will add it to the trivia. It is a discord message link, meaning you will only be able to access the message if you are on the discord server. There is also a youtube video, where this is mentioned, the video is not by 4J though. https://youtu.be/ogss8efGLEc?t=285 would be better to link that video instead? - It doesn't matter if you need a Discord account. An official source is better than a secondhand source. ~Anachronist (talk) 05:56, 20 July 2024 (UTC)

I've granted you the autopatrol right. This doesn't affect you in any way. All it does is prevent your edits from appearing in lists of unpatrolled edits that need checking, and you're long past the point where yours need checking. ~Anachronist (talk) 00:36, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
I responded to "Missing documentation of Xbox One Edition update from September 2017".
