The official name of the "Computer Edition" is "Java Edition", and has been confirmed as "Java" by the devs. It is to space it away from the Windows 10 Edition. – Nixinova • 👁 Image

Pocket Edition 1.1.5 was released today. I created the version history page and updated the recent news on Main Page/editcopy. I haven't done this kind of work on the wiki before, so do you know if I've missed anything? Also, Module:Version/Numbers needs to be updated. Would you do that or is there someone else I should ask? Thanks. – Auldrick (talk · contribs) 00:28, 4 August 2017 (UTC)
Hi I'm really sorry to bother you but I'm really impatient about my situation
My PS3 mincraft wont load I was logging in to minecraft as usual I pressed play... My page of servers wouldn't load. I gave it lots of time to load but it wouldn't.
I've tried making a page about it but since I'm a new user I couldn't it told me I should talk to an admin, since I saw you were a pro I decided to tell you.
I hope you have a great day and I hope you can help me. Once again I'm sorry for bothering you.
I just did that but I don't understand why no answers came up. Please help.
I left a reply on the talk page but maybe you're not watching it. I can fix the category population, but it doesn't actually have a specific pocket parameter. When given such a parameter, it will just default to generating "Pocket Edition only" and using Pocket Edition.png for the logo. Essentially, it assumes that we'll change {{Exclusive|pocket}} to {{Exclusive|bedrock}} wherever it occurs. Do we need to short-circuit it, so it treats "pocket" like "bedrock"? If so, I'll add that too. --– Auldrick (talk · contribs) 03:23, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
Never mind. I fixed the category population, and I don't think the pocket parameter was ever used with this template anyway. --– Auldrick (talk · contribs) 04:37, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
I was reviewing Tick and noticed its Java orientation. I thought about how to balance it by creating separate sections for different editions' specific information, but realized that I wouldn't have anything to say for Bedrock (let alone Legacy Console). The Java details ultimately came, I assume, from examining the jar files, but we have no source for equivalent details in the other editions. I have noted this problem frequently in lots of articles on game mechanics. We've said we want to remove Java orientation but we have almost no authoritative sources of equivalent information about any other edition. All we actually have is rare comments from the devs, typically in bug reports or new articles, about algorithmic details. I feel like we need to have a discussion about what we can do to ameliorate this problem, or possibly get the details we need to do what we (at least I) envisioned.
Eliminating the Java orientation was most recently discussed on the Renaming project talk page, but it's a little outside the scope and that project has passed the active discussion stage anyway. Do you think we need to start a new project for de-orientation, or is that premature? Should I try to elicit comments on MCW:Community portal first?--– Auldrick (talk · contribs) 15:35, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
On September 30 you added Category:Bedrock Edition only to Template:Bedrock Edition. Consequently, all pages that have the BE navbox are being categorized as having Bedrock-exclusive features. Did you mean to do that? I might be confused about what the category is for, since the "only" suffix is misleading and we have Category:Bedrock Edition specific information that seems to have a similar purpose. --– Auldrick (talk · contribs) 17:40, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

Hello! I wanted to let you know that there was a discussion, which can be found here, proposing to demote admins who have been inactive for over a year, which the community seemed to fully support. Your last edit was made on October 7, 2017, 1 1/4 years ago, so you would qualify here. You will have about a week to respond to this before I request a bureaucrat to remove your admin rights, and I'll also send you an email as you may not check the wiki anymore. If you are demoted, you'll be able to request that your rights be added back anytime if you ever need them. Also, please know that this is not any kind of punishment and will not be held against you in the future or be treated as a black mark. Cheers and thank you for your service here.-- Madminecrafter12👁 Image
