Hi @beth – I just now saw the revision request on the beta uplift. So I am submitting that revision now. The issue was with a pref that already existed in one of Florian's existing features. This revision includes only the necessary pref. Confirmed it does not exist elsewhere.

After looking into @nbp's feedback, CPU usage did increase at an unacceptable level (over 30% increases for median users). This will be reassessed in subsequent phases of Adaptive Performance, specifically with a less aggressive caching threshold of 3 instead of 2 (closer to the current default of 4).
