Data, when used well and early before crisis point, can be a powerful tool in preventing homelessness.
The Homelessness Data Lab highlights how, staggeringly, over 430,000 people in the UK are experiencing homelessness and over half are children. Homewards is bringing together businesses, local partners and the sector to demonstrate how using the latest tech and innovations can help predict and prevent homelessness.
Studio AKAβs Director & Designer Ross Phillips crafted this beautifully simple piece of animation using just two charming 2D characters, a parent and child whose homelessness is prevented through the use of data. Ross has skilfully managed to capture this story in an emotive, engaging way and create interest when the film was screened during London Tech Week.
All this ties together with the Homewards brand palette, an emotive soundscape featuring a voiceover by Lana, a young person with lived experience, supported by Homewards partner Roundabout Youth Homeless Charity in Sheffield.
