Christopher Lavigne, known as Law, is a member of G.I. Joe. He is the team's Military Police agent, and is partnered up with Order.

Transformers vs. G.I. Joe

Law and Order attended a meeting in T.H.E. P.I.T., where the top brass of G.I. Joe discussed the approach of the planet Cybertron, and their plan if its inhabitants proved to be hostile. When the Decepticons first disembarked from their ships, the situation quickly spiraled out of control, and the Joes' fears that they were facing an invasion were confirmed. Law, Order, and the rest of the Joes evacuated their base when it became necessary to fire down a Coltonbolt from an orbiting defense satellite to deal with the Cybertronians. They then regrouped off-shore. I Saw Three Ships

Aboard the USS Flagg, Law took part in General Hawk's mock-funeral, an elaborate set-up meant to draw Cobra into the open. The plan worked, though the Joes were faced with not only their human enemies, but the combined might of the Decepticobra alliance! After a hard-fought battle, the Joes were able to repel their opponents. Funeral for a Friend

Law later drove into battle to help deal with Optimus Prime, the Serpentress and her Decepticon stooges when all of them wound up in a brawl near the United Nations building. Little did he know that the tank he was riding in was the Decepticon Brawl, who along with his fellow Combaticons, had infiltrated the ranks of G.I. Joe as different military vehicles. Law had to ditch his ride when it transformed and combined with the others into the gestalt Bruticus! Expelled from the Garden Law was later among the Joes brought to a secret area below T.H.E. P.I.T. by Joe Colton to awaken the Earth's true form, Atlas. The War Never Ends

2005 IDW continuity

Lt. Lavigne arrested Sly Rax when the latter was conning local soldiers out of their money. At Rax's trial, Lavigne suggested to General Miles Manheim that Rax had potential for counter-intelligence work. As such, Lavigne proposed to the court that Rax be surrendered to his custody for immediate enrollment in the armed forces. The Origin of V.E.N.O.M. Part 1
