When preparing for the GRE Exam in 2024, understanding the GRE Test Center rules is crucial for a smooth and successful test day. Candidates should be aware of the key regulations that govern the GRE test experience. It’s essential to bring a valid and accepted identification document to the test center, as entry without it will not be permitted. Upon arrival, candidates must sign a confidentiality and regulations agreement and may be required to log their details into a GRE Test Centre log.
During the exam, candidates will receive scratch paper, which must be returned after the test. A ten-minute optional break is available after the third section of the GRE General Test. For the Quantitative Reasoning section, an onscreen calculator will be provided; personal calculators are not allowed.
If candidates have any questions during the test, they should raise their hands. After the test, candidates can choose to report or cancel their scores. Unofficial scores for Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning will be available immediately, though Analytical Writing scores will be delayed due to the scoring process. Candidates can also select up to four institutions to receive their GRE scores, with the option to send additional scores through their ETS account.
