Fine grained yellowish grey baryte in a small area, surrounded by granite. Sporadic production 1952 to 1962, then continuous production 1964 to 1970, producing 5845 tonnes of baryte, by Universal Milling Pty Ltd.
The baryte veins are hosted by gabbro and basaltitic tuff. Individual veins are up to 30 cms thick, and extend a distance of 1.5 metres. The baryte was worked for a distance of 30 metres, and a depth of 42 metres below the surface.
The Mindat co-ordinates are taken from the reference listed but only goes to 4 points which is not accurate enough for Mindat purposes. This places the location on an alluvial plain, and is clearly not the location. Mindat co-ordinates show general area only.
