The localities are:
- Faschingbauerkreuz - Reithkogel Mt. area (= Gießhübler Berg, Gießhübler Holzschlag)
- Elmleiten
- Frauenkammer

Specimens in old collections are often labelled only with "Fischbach, Styria".

Country rock is white, lower Triassic Semmering quartzite.
