With Intel's own Embree ray-tracing kernels the Xeon 6 Granite Rapids performance was competitive at the top-end but then losing out in power efficiency and most pressing is the significant pricing difference.
Ditto for Open Image Denoise.
AMD EPYC Turin did deliver exceptional performance with Intel's OpenVKL volume kernel library.
