Fedora Server 42 as the first major Linux distribution using GCC 15 by default did pull out victories for the Kvazaar H.265 video encode performance. Clear Linux came in second place here while the other Linux distributions all effectively tied for third place.

👁 SVT-AV1 benchmark with settings of Encoder Mode: Preset 5, Input: Bosphorus 4K. Clear Linux 43250 was the fastest.

Clear Linux did return to a slight lead over the rest in some of the SVT-AV1 video encoder benchmarks.

👁 ACES DGEMM benchmark with settings of Sustained Floating-Point Rate. AlmaLinux 9.5 was the fastest.

Clear Linux and AlmaLinux 9.5 enjoyed better performance than the rest for DGEMM.

👁 Liquid-DSP benchmark with settings of Threads: 128, Buffer Length: 256, Filter Length: 32. Clear Linux 43250 was the fastest.

👁 Liquid-DSP benchmark with settings of Threads: 128, Buffer Length: 256, Filter Length: 57. Clear Linux 43250 was the fastest.

👁 Liquid-DSP benchmark with settings of Threads: 512, Buffer Length: 256, Filter Length: 57. Clear Linux 43250 was the fastest.

Clear Linux with its aggressive compiler defaults and other tuning was delivering hefty wins on this AMD EPYC 9755 2P sever for the Liquid-DSP digital signal processing software.
