For CPU-based AI inferencing the Ryzen AI 5 340 was faster than all the Intel laptops tested with Llama.cpp... With AMD Krackan Point having AVX-512 like the entire Zen 5 line-up meant for better performance in AI workloads than what you would typically find in sub-$500 laptops.

Again for the most part the Ryzen AI 5 340 performed similar to the prior generation Ryzen 7 7840U. For those on an older Ryzen 4000/5000 series laptop, the Ryzen AI 5 340 can still deliver a meaningful upgrade.
