Even if running an AWS cloud instance for simpler workloads like image encoding boxes, Graviton4 was delivering consistent and significant speed-ups.

The srsRAN project for a ORAN-native 5G RAN open-source software solution was showing very lofty improvements made with Graviton4. From Graviton1 to Graviton4 metal performance was a 16.8x improvement!

It was nice seeing the on-demand pricing of Graviton4 continuing to show most practical as well in maximizing value of these Graviton instances in the cloud.

On a performance per thread basis with srsRAN, it was around 3~3.8x the performance over the four generations of Graviton.
