Intel Arc B570 Graphics Performance On Linux
Counter-Strike 2 at 1440P showed the Arc B570 running at 1.64x the performance of the Arc A580 graphics card or about 86% the speed of the Arc B580. But even with the very latest open-source drivers for Battlemage, the performance of these Arc B-Series graphics cards were still well behind the Radeon RX 7600 series level of performance.
The Arc B570 on average while running Counter-Strike 2 was a 106 Watt board power and a peak of 123 Watts compared to the Arc B580 with a 120 Watt average and 141 Watt peak.
Grand Theft Auto V under Linux with Steam Play on the latest Intel driver code has the Arc B580 aligning with the Radeon RX 7600 while the Arc B570 graphics card was achieving about 84% the performance. Over the Arc A580 / A750 / A770, the Arc B570 was still a significant upgrade here and at the $219 USD price point.
The Arc B570 was outperforming the Alchemist GPUs for this popular game on Linux while consuming less power than the prior Arc A-Series hardware.
With the higher quality visuals for GTA 5, the Arc B570 performed between the Radeon RX 7600 XT and Radeon RX 7700 XT but the average frame-rate was around a sluggish 30 FPS.
