The DDR5-8000 memory was providing some nice uplift within the NPB benchmarks.

👁 ACES DGEMM benchmark with settings of Sustained Floating-Point Rate. Ryzen 9 9950X was the fastest.

👁 miniBUDE benchmark with settings of Implementation: OpenMP, Input Deck: BM2. Ryzen 9 9950X was the fastest.

👁 SPECFEM3D benchmark with settings of Model: Layered Halfspace. Core Ultra 9 285K @ DDR5-8000 was the fastest.

👁 SPECFEM3D benchmark with settings of Model: Mount St. Helens. Core Ultra 9 285K @ DDR5-8000 was the fastest.

👁 GROMACS benchmark with settings of Implementation: MPI CPU, Input: water_GMX50_bare. Ryzen 9 9950X was the fastest.

👁 NAMD benchmark with settings of Input: ATPase with 327,506 Atoms. Ryzen 9 9950X was the fastest.

The Intel Arrow Lake performance varied quite a bit in the HPC workloads depending upon if AVX-512 was in use, if MPI (without OpenMP) was in use by the particular application, and similar factors. The Core Ultra 9 285K did better here than I was expecting but for the most well-rounded performance was with the Ryzen 9 9900 series.

👁 LAMMPS Molecular Dynamics Simulator benchmark with settings of Model: 20k Atoms. Core Ultra 9 285K @ DDR5-8000 was the fastest.

The AMD Ryzen CPUs were also leading in power efficiency for a number of the benchmarks.
