The Core Ultra 9 285K was leading in some of the HPC oriented benchmarks like OpenRadioss thanks to 24 physical cores being of benefit for some of the MPI workloads bound to physical cores compared to the 16 cores with the Ryzen 9 9950X.

The Core Ultra 9 285K was consuming more power though than the Ryzen 9 9950X for Altair's OpenRadioss software.

For the libxsmm library there was leading performance and power efficiency with Arrow Lake.

The Core Ultra 9 285K secured another victory with the GPAW density functional theory codebase.

The AMD CPUs with 3D V-Cache were still able to command victory in some HPC workloads like the Pennant hydrodynamics software.
