Linux 5.15 LTS To 6.17 Benchmarks: Four Years Of Kernel Improvement Net 37% Improvement On AMD EPYC
Interestingly Linux 6.6 and 5.15 LTS kernels were performing poorly on some of the HPC benchmarks where as Linux 6.1 was in good shape and similar to the newer kernel versions.
But long story short, the newer Linux kernel versions were providing a performance advantage here on this AMD EPYC 7773X Milan-X server.
