NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Linux Gaming Benchmarks

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided remains one of the most demanding OpenGL Linux games with the newer titles ported to Linux from Windows generally relying upon Vulkan. At 1440p with high quality settings, the GeForce RTX 2070 was slightly faster than the GeForce GTX 1080 -- not surpassing the GTX 1080 Ti like we saw in many compute tests. The Radeon RX Vega 64 as the current top-end AMD gaming graphics card was aligned with the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti in this instance.

At 4K with lower quality settings, it was a similar story with the EVGA RTX 2070 coming in between the GTX 1080 and GTX 1080 Ti. But in this game configuration the Radeon RX Vega performance on Linux pulled back to just being aligned with the GeForce GTX 980 Ti.

When firing up Dawn of War III on Linux with Vulkan, the GeForce RTX 2070 was aligned with the GTX 1080 while the RX Vega 64 was just a few frames past the GTX 1070.
