Lastly was ParaView as the workstation visualization and data analysis software from Kitware. The Radeon AI PRO R9700 was running well there too and principally delivering excellent value for this 32GB RDNA4 workstation/professional graphics card at the $1299 USD price point.

On a geo mean basis the Radeon AI PRO R9700 was similar to the Radeon PRO W7900 for these workstation graphics tests. The Radeon AI PRO R9700 was achieving 1.54x the performance of the NVIDIA RTX 4000 Ada Generation graphics card at just 0.9x the cost. The Radeon AI PRO R9700 was delivering excellent value in these workstation Linux graphics benchmark values for those looking at maximizing the performance-per-dollar for their graphics card investment. The Radeon AI PRO R9700 also benefits against the NVIDIA RTX / RTX PRO graphics cards in having a fully open-source and mainline driver stack from the kernel driver through the RADV and RadeonSI drivers too -- plus ROCm too.

The performance-per-Watt of the Radeon AI PRO R9700 was behind the NVIDIA RTX Ada competition though for those after maximizing their energy efficiency.

The thermals of the Sapphire Radeon AI PRO R9700 were great with this graphics card operating significantly cooler than the other graphics cards tested for this comparison.

Thanks again to AMD for providing the Radeon AI PRO R9700 review samples for this Linux hardware testing at Phoronix.
